"There are precious few titles in the history of cinema that can truly be called ‘revolutionary,’ and Godard’s Breathless is one of those few."—Martin Scorsese

Even after 60 years, this seminal French New Wave classic still feels just as fresh and relevant. Jean-Luc Godard's jazzy noir oozes with style that would be imitated for decades to come and remains essential viewing. Small-time crook Michel (Jean-Paul Belmondo) steals a car and murders a policeman. While on the run, he reconnects with Patricia (Jean Seberg), a journalism student living in Paris, and tries to convince her to go on the lam with him. Whether walking the Parisian streets, zipping around with the top down, or just lounging in bed, Belmondo and Seberg are eminently and effortlessly cool. On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Rialto Pictures has released a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative by Studiocanal and CNC at L'Immagine Ritrovata laboratory.

Presented in loving memory of the great Jean-Paul Belmondo (1933-2021)
