Description

The Dreamland Stage Company is proud to present the live stage production of 1984 by George Orwell. This powerful and provocative play depicts the fate of humanity when society becomes a place where Big Brother is always watching and where everything is either prohibited or compulsory.

Orwell himself once said, “I do not believe that the kind of society I describe necessarily will arrive, but I believe that something resembling it could arrive. The moral to be drawn from the dangerous nightmare situation is a simple one: Don’t let it happen. It depends on you.”

1984 is presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service as part of The Dreamland Foundation Educational Outreach Production Series.
