Myriam and little Emma have rented a ghostly apartment. In truth, it is Valerio, a widowed and jobless father, with his 6-year-old son Carlo hiding in the attic and determined to scare tenants in the hope of returning to live in the apartment. Their creative, playful stratagem has proven successful but Myriam is not easily scared and things might take a surprising twist. This delicate and touching dramedy about life challenges and second chances will brighten up your day.

Alessandro Capitani (Orbetello, 1980) is a director and writer who graduated in 2004 from the University of Bologna in DAMS (Discipline Arte Musica e Spettacolo) and in 2009 from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia/Scuola Nazionale di Cinema in Rome. In 2016, he won the David di Donatello Award for best short with his film Bellissima. I nostri fantasmi is his second feature film.
