When an insecure, closeted gay man from Minnesota–his name is Alan–is paired with an unpredictable, enigmatic woman from West Virginia–meet Jesse–on a low-budget children’s theater tour across the frozen Upper Midwest of all places, a genuine friendship blossoms, in Nicole Rodenburg’s charming road trip comedy debut.
These two are complete opposites, and at first, they’re not only wary of one another but would rather have nothing to do with the other all together. But their work on stage opens them up, and reveals the wounds of past emotional conflicts. And soon they become the most unlikely of collaborators, rewriting their shows to reveal their true selves on stage. Starring best friends and co-writers Colin Froeber and Rodenburg, Glob Lessons is a road movie like none you’ve ever seen before.
