Screens with the short film Socorro.

One day, without warning, a revolution exploded. It was the event that 80-year-old master documentarian Patricio Guzmán had been waiting for and working toward all his life: a million and a half people in the streets of Santiago. Guzmán connects Chile's complex, bloody history to contemporary revolutionary social movements and the election of a popular new president.

Description

International Premiere

Socorro do Burajuba is a community leader and president of the Association of Caboclos, Indigenous and Quilombolas of the Amazon. Since 2016, she has been denouncing the contamination of rivers in the quilombola community Burajuba, a region considered an environmental and social "sacrifice zone" due to the intensity and violence of mineral exploration.
