Description

James Beard-winning Author/Chef Amy Thielen (The New Midwestern Table) joins Director Laura Gabbert in conversation following the 7:00pm screening on Wednesday, April 26th at The Main Cinema.

Director Laura Gabbert also attending 1:15pm screening on Thursday, April 27th at The Main Cinema.

Filmmaker Laura Gabbert focuses her camera on Ruth Reichl, one of America’s most beloved food writers, whose work to save small farms, ranches and restaurants in the face of corporate takeover makes for an amazing documentary.

In the face of the pandemic, Ruth Reichl, already a provocative crusader for the rights of small, independent food purveyors, rolls up her sleeves and works across every social and political divide to help support innovators who can keep our food from being corporatized. Filmmaker Laura Gabbert, whose focus on the food industry has resulted in amazing documentaries, teams with Reichl in this moving, thought-provoking and ultimately hopeful documentary. “An invitation into caring about the truth of how we eat.” –Alissa Wilkinson, Vox
