Essentially creating the “Americana” & “Roots” genres of music with his mixture of Country, contemporary and Folk music. The four time Grammy Award winner and Lifetime achievement recipient was known for humorous lyrics about love, life, and current events, as well as his serious songs with social commentary and songs that recollect sometimes melancholy tales from his life.
