Entertainment, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres

The evening will commence at 6 PM with a cocktail hour, featuring delightful hors d’oeuvres and a chance to mingle with fellow art lovers, community leaders, and innovators. At 7 PM, we will transition to the highlight of the night, the 2024 Lloyd Schoeneman Community Impact Awards, followed by an inspiring keynote address by Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research at Americans for the Arts.

In honor of Lloyd Schoeneman (1951-2001), who dedicated over two decades to fostering the arts within our community, Quad City Arts presents the Lloyd Schoeneman Community Impact Awards. This playful yet poignant award celebrates those who embody his passion and drive. We are currently seeking nominations in the categories of Outstanding Artist (Performing or Visual), Arts Educator, and Arts Supporter (Individual or Business). Recipients, chosen by our volunteer community panelists, will be announced during the Celebration of the Arts event.

We are also excited to announce that Visiting Artist Daniel Pak, an award-winning guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer who has performed with Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam and Sir Mix-a-Lot, will provide entertainment throughout the evening, along with pianist Josh Rawlings, a Grammy-nominated and Platinum Album Award-winning recording artist and composer.

This event not only celebrates the vibrant arts within our community but also supports a vital cause – the Quad City Arts’ Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship Program. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit this program, which empowers local youth through artistic development and community engagement.
