In the summer of 2007, two events happened that have had major long-term economic impact on a small iron mining community in northern Minnesota known for the picture Grace. The town of Bovey was faced with its local highway being rerouted to bypass its downtown. Yet just as this occurred, Annabella's Antique Mall had its grand opening in an old hardware store on main street across from city hall. Now over sixteen years later, Annabella's continues to welcome customers daily to relive a bygone era while shopping for that perfect vintage or antique treasure from a host of vendors we meet in the film. Visits to its Speakeasy and escape tunnel are thriving. A top travel destination in the area, the store draws in collectors and tourists from across the region and nation and is at the heart of this community's revival.
