When the bodies of local martial arts experts begin turning up with mysterious claw-like marks on them, two NYPD detectives (who are also martial arts experts!) are assigned to the case. Tarek Richards (JALAL MERHI) and Linda Masterson (CYNTHIA ROTHROCK) must combine their unorthodox methods to track down this mysterious serial killer (BOLO YEUNG) and uncover the secret to his deadly ancient technique, Tiger Claw.
Directed by Kelly Makin (KIDS IN THE HALL: BRAIN CANDY) and produced by Brazilian-born Lebanese-Canadian Jalal Merhi, Tiger Claws exploded onto the 90s direct-to-video market in a big way, introducing the world to the no-nonsense fisticuffs of Film One Productions (EXPECT NO MERCY, TC 2000). Tiger Claws may take place in NYC, but we’re joining forces with Toronto Film Board (@torontofilmboard) to uncover just how much of home is hiding in the background. (BRANDON LIM)
