The Pacific Northwest's legendary Black Lodge Burlesque presents a screening of BLUE VELVET (1986)! Join burlesque and drag performers Baby LeStrange, Natasha Riot, Wandra Bones, and Temera Titty for a preshow cabaret inspired by the works of cult master David Lynch.
Written and directed by Lynch, BLUE VELVET follows college student Jeffery (Kyle MacLachlan) after he finds a severed ear in a field. With crime-solving help from Sandy (Laura Dern), Jeffrey dives deep into an underworld run by gas-huffing psychopath Frank (Dennis Hopper) and finds himself coming to the aid of the beautiful, tragic lounge singer Dorothy Vallens (Isabella Rossellini). Co-starring Dean Stockwell and Brad Dourif, and scored by Lynch's longtime collaborator Angelo Badalementi, BLUE VELVET stays with you long after it's over—like the haunting titular song.
