In August, we conclude our TERRIBLE TWOS mini-series with the commercial and critical ‘fatality’, MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION.
This 30 million dollar 1997 sequel managed to disappoint teenagers and video game nerds worldwide with its inane dialogue, recasting of two-thirds of the main cast and its laughably bad (and unfinished) VFX shots (where did the 30 million budget go?).
Although this inferior follow-up was painful to get through when it first came out, MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION has become one of the best worst video game movies of all-time to watch with a crowd.
