In post-earthquake California, San Diego and Los Angeles have merged into one city: New Angeles. Two teenage brothers have one half of a powerful ancient Chinese talisman, while the other resides with Koga Shuko, an evil tycoon obsessed with completing the amulet known as ‘Double Dragon’. To prevent him from using the talisman’s mystical powers to wreak havoc on the world, Jimmy and Billy Lee must team up with Maria and her vigilante group The Power Corps.
Based on the iconic side scrolling video game Double Dragon, this 90s cult classic starring Mark Dacascos (ONLY THE STRONG), Scott Wolf (PARTY OF FIVE) Alyssa Mylano (COMMANDO) and Robert Patrick (TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY) is an action-heavy throwback to the ‘beat em up’ arcade games of the 80s and 90s with a fun sci-fi adventure twist. To celebrate its 30th Anniversary, we’ve teamed up with TORONTO GAMES WEEK: a collective coordination of events organized independently by dozens of organizations, curators, companies, creators, and communities taking place June 13 - 19.
