Adapted by the author Angela Carter from her 1979 short story of the same name, director Neil Jordan (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, THE CRYING GAME) crafts an anthology entwined in the dark forest of dreams, luring us along the path to Grandmother's house with werewolves on our heels. Lush and surreal in its execution, the film delves deep into the inherent dangers of female desire, shrouded by the gothic darkness of subversive fairy tales.
