Cocaine dealing biker ninjas have tightened their grip on the Florida narcotics trade, but one multinational Tae Kwon Do-themed rock band who all live together and are also orphans have had enough. Friendship, honesty, and loyalty are put to the test when Orlando’s #1 nightclub house band DRAGON SOUND face the deadly grip of the MIAMI CONNECTION and the other disgruntled band they happened to put out of work.
Directed by Woo-Sang Park (L.A. STREETFIGHTERS) and written/produced by Florida-based martial arts self-help guru Grandmaster Y.K.Kim, MIAMI CONNECTION was rarely seen until DRAFTHOUSE FILMS restored it back in 2012. Fast forward to 2025 and Y.K. Kim’s passion project remains a massive cult sensation, blending crazy 80s action, thrilling fight sequences (ft. Kim’s actual students), with endlessly quotable dialogue.
