Description

A smash hit at the Capri when it first played 23 years go, almost to the day, Amélie is the romantic, magical Paris you think you will always have, which is quite surprising in it is created by the director of Delicatessen, The City of Lost Children and Aliens:Resurrection.

Amélie (Tautou) grew up with a distant father and a suicidal mother. She has a deadend job in a Paris bistro until, one day the unthinkable happens Princess Diana is killed in a car wreck. The death of the celebrity princess sets off a chain of events that change Amélie's life and reveal her true purpose: to bring happiness and joy to everyone!

We know, it sounds like a French Shirley Temple. But fear not, Amélie plots to bring joy with panache, and does so in a Paris full of friendly people and really clean streets.
