This delightful, heartbreaking and heartwarming documentary follows John Petersen, who’s not your typical farmer. He could be described as eccentric, flamboyant, and a heck of a farmer. The Real Dirt on Farmer John tells the tale of how he survives smallminded townsfolk, the financial downturns that nearly cost him the farm, and how, like a phoenix, he rises up above it all and not only survives, but thrive by starting this new thing on the farm, called CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).
