Eden is a renowned songwriter, performer, and recording artist, and has received numerous awards and nominations. She is currently nominated for four 2025 Blues Music Awards, recognized in the categories of Song of the Year, Traditional Blues Album, Traditional Blues Female Artist, and Instrumentalist-Piano. She won trophies at the 2009 Blues Music Awards for Acoustic Blues Album and Acoustic Blues Artist, and the Instrumentalist - Piano trophy in 2010. She is a former Mississippi Arts Commission Folk Arts Fellowship recipient, is included in the Mississippi Touring Artist Roster, and was apprentice to Abie “Boogaloo” Ames in a 1994 Folk Arts Apprenticeship. In 2011, she received the Popular Music Award from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters for her album Ain’t Got No Troubles. In addition, she has a dozen nominations in the Living Blues and Blues Blast Music Awards, and she won the International Blues Challenge in 2006.
Current Blues Music Award nominee, Eden Brent, is a piano-pounding, juke-joint hollering powerhouse of American music. A legendary performer and southern songwriter, she spent the first two decades of her career under the tutelage of Abie “Boogaloo” Ames, before winning The Blues Foundation’s Challenge and bouncing onto the international scene. Since then she lands steady honors, like the four Blues Music Award nominations she currently holds following her most recent album, Getaway Blues. The recent nominations include:

4 PAWS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of stray, abandoned, and neglected animals in Lincoln Parish. They provide community education, strongly advocating spaying and neutering, heartworm prevention, and responsible pet ownership. They make sure the rescued animals are placed in loving and caring homes. Until then, they offer love, shelter, and care.
