Edited and compiled from the first two films in the LONE WOLF AND CUB series—based on the celebrated manga by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima—SHOGUN ASSASSIN follows 4 year old Daigoro and his father Ogami on their “demon path to hell” after a mad Shogun murders Ogami’s wife and orders him to commit seppuku. With nothing but a rickety baby cart (full of hidden weapons), the toddler and ronin become assassins-for-hire, embarking on a journey of gory retribution. Set to a pulsating synthesizer soundtrack (cowritten by Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere & the Raiders)—Daigoro and Ogami must fend off a nearly endless wave of ruthless ninja assassins until their final showdown with the evil Shogun.
