Join us for an unforgettable performance as acclaimed pianist and composer Helen Sung takes the stage with the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra and special guest, Pittsburgh Jazz legend, Roger Humphries.
A Steinway Artist and 2021 Guggenheim Fellow, Sung blends her classical roots with the vibrant language of jazz, creating music that swings with elegance and invention. Helen has also worked with such luminaries as Clark Terry, Ron Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Regina Carter, Terri Lyne Carrington, and the Mingus Big Band.
She will present her new large ensemble project “Oracles,” which pays homage to mentors like Horace Silver who shaped her artistic journey, celebrating jazz traditions and innovation.
