Gordon and Emily are newlyweds who have purchased a new apartment. Late one night, Emily is awoken by bizarre and terrifying noises coming from the building's storage area. She becomes convinced that their mysterious German neighbor, Mr. Reinsdorf, is up to some dark deeds in the basement. Emily embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about the noises, pushing her reluctant husband into the fold of the investigation, and on a path to discovery of the grisly truth. This revelation ultimately leads the newlyweds to a conclusion they could never have expected.
