This wonderfully oddball comedy from Sweden is director Felix Herngren’s adaptation of Jonas Jonasson’s international best-selling novel by the same name. Both dark and life-affirming by turns, the film has been likened to a cross between Forrest Gump and Zelig for the way in which its titular centenarian, played by the great Swedish comedian, Robert Gustafsson, is inextricably linked to key events in the 20th century.
